I didn’t actually create this download. I received it with a copy of the collectors edition.The download only includes the car. Try the following if you are having problems with the download:
- Download and place this Sims 3 Resource.cfg file in your C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder
- Download and unzip the car
- Create a Mods folder inside your C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 directory. Your directory should now look like this: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods
- Create a Packages folder inside your C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods directory. Your directory should now look like this: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
- Place the downloaded car in the C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages directory

how do i install this download. after i download it shows up as some kind of adobe file?

@Matt Have you tried to put it in your Electronic Arts downloads folder like so?
C:\Documents and Settings\Kami\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads

Hey im also getting a error message. it keeps saying to make sure your software is up to date (it is:P) ive tried many methods and re-downloaded your file many times over now and still no luck

turn access to the internet off while imstalling the car it worked after i had done that

yea i hav the same problem as mez and u just need to wait cos i dont think EA hav made a patch that allows people to download stuff from other sites other than theirs

I have downloaded it and I am up to date, but still the same error message…

how do i get the Sims 3 resource.cgf? it just opens as a link and shows what appears to be code.

i think its the car, cuz most people who actually bought the special edition are complaining about similar errors

i’d really love to use this car but it says my software isn’t up to date, tried disconnecting internet… didn’t work anybody have any ideas, please, so unfair that normal users cant have the 2 awesome cars!!!

I really wish that I knew why it works for some but not for others. I don’t no how else to resolve it for those who can’t get it to work. I suppose each person can give the download a try but if it doesn’t work, don’t be surprised. I have zipped it again and will submit it to the sims3port, maybe that will help.

Umm, I am having problems having this car installed and I am wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to make this car work? I followed the directions above correctley and still says an error and the download fails to install. I placed it in my downloads folder to install it of of the sims3 Pack and how come there is still an error message???

I cant get the car either. I will send 150 dollars to someone who can get me the car, however, I really am sweating it that much.
